The Drill weekend out in the field threw me way behind my work schedule so now I am playing catch up. It never works like you think it should though. You would think if you work twice as long for two days you can catch up on two days missed. Nope. It takes about three or four days to catch up because of all the regular interruptions.
The upgrades I am working on now take about a half hour to do each. Mostly just hooking up the computer to the equipment and waiting for it to do its thing. But I can only do one at a time and I have 10 to do, so that is five hours of watching "Job Progress" and "File Progress" bars. Yesterday I was working on one really venerable piece of gear still in the inventory that was really kicking my behind. It would get to the last of four files and (this one took about a half-hour a file, and then error out. Went through that twice before it took. That was a blast.
Looks like the formatting is still all jacked up on these e-mailed in posts. Sorry about that folks. If anyone has any tips on how to get the e-mail posts to straighten up let me know. I don't have time to edit them from home and I can only send out e-mails plain text from work, so you'll may be stuck with it.
The wife joined ZMH and I for sitting this morning. She went back to bed after twenty minuets. That was weird. ZMI indicated we should wake her up the night prior but when I tried to wake her she just got out of her bed and went to mine.
Drinking stale tea in the mornings is not the best way for me to start the day. I suppose it is better than no tea though. But gosh that would be a comparison now wouldn't it.
