In dealing with the fundie these last few days I noted that even though I think I tried to deal with him peacefully I still have some of that good old Asura nature in me...
Meaning that I think I would have for a tiny little moment taken a lot of pleasure in grabbing the offensive individual by the collarbone and smashing his ribcage. I guess deep down inside I still think some people just need a good ass kicking.

I have decided to turn on comment moderation instead though in order to facilitate my walking away peaceably instead.
I still welcome comments, and even a rational argument, but keep in mind this is MY journal and I reserve the right to refuse comment approval of deranged people, excluding my own deranged comments of-course.
This morning before leaving the house for the seattle area both the kids joined me for sitting. Then they started critiquing each others posture.... I keep telling them to worry about their own posture instead. I guess what I really mean is that you have to work out your own salvation. I sure wish everyone would.

I read some of the FunD's blog. He clearly has a very good formula for inciting riot. Which of course just means he can tangle ego's into a knot giving the illusion of some sort of higher position, and 'rightness.'
We can know a tree by the fruit it bears.
The cathartic images in your post seem oddly heroic to me. Wanting to conquer and break free of the web of engagement this guy can spin.
I understand your point. Unfortunately it's not easy to get into any kind of dialogue with these folks without one party or both descending into troll-dom.
Since the gist of any Christian apologist's pitch generally boils down to "Believe what I believe or god damn you" one can understand why this might be the case.
Jordan,
You just put up a video of Danzig and a cartoon image of him from the Samhain era. That image was made into a figurine.
You're my new best internet friend:)
Deep bows and high horns!
Al
Lauren,
Thanks for the comments, being heroic can bring trouble...
Mumon, Yes!
Al, I got the Samhain skull Tattooed on my chest... There is some hair growing out of it now and it doesn't look quite as good as it did 17 years ago, Got the crimson ghost skull under a black flag on the left arm too. My old mantra used to be on earth as it is in hell Which is tatted next to the crimson ghost. I feel much better now than I did than but it is always cool to meet another aging monster kid.
Al, just saw your music prefs in your profile... Thats so scary you got a lot of my favorites on there, with the exception of Zero Defex.. I like their base player as an author but really never got into that Ohio punk sound.
Jordan,
F**ing A! You have the skull on your chest! That is awesome. I think Danzig was at his peak during Samhain. Not too metal not too punk. Just right. I'm a DC kid, so I was always kind of hoping the Lyle Pressler, Brian Baker, Danzig line up would have worked out.
I pretty much like everything from the early hardcore era, as it was raw for a short period of time.
Not sure if you know about it, but you should check out Rollins's radio show. That man knows music: http://www.rollins-archive.com/
Bows,
Al
Jordan,
I just wrote a long reply and it got erased. Danzig was a t his peak during Samhain. You are lucky for bearing that on your chest for all eternity:) I'll catch up more some time.

One of my favorites, although I took exception to the line, "There's a baby in a meat slicer.."
once my daughter was born:)

Hey Al, Sorry about that, please have some patience as I have turned on comment moderation so it will sometimes be a little bit before I am able to publish them.
I was lucky enough to grow up in the Chicago Suburbs in the late eighties we had a great hardcore punk seen. one of those bands "Naked Raygun" has recently bade a comeback.
Rollins radio is pretty cool, I miss his show on IFC though that was brilliant even if just for the rants at the beginning.
See todays post for some good Danzig fun,
