Lord knows I've tried.

It only leads to disappointment to try to hold on to them--a lesson in and of itself.

Understood that you do not even bother trying, but regardless--those who do try inevitably fail!

:)

Best,

Aarongnizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18043750358888135458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37983535.post-34276286179849440352011-07-23T05:17:44.539-07:002011-07-23T05:17:44.539-07:00Hi Ben.

Only them being passed through and dropped off. I hear gratitude, compassion, and respect as action.

All the best,
JordanSlowZenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10589294912054724123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37983535.post-24586365749623296922011-07-23T03:58:03.536-07:002011-07-23T03:58:03.536-07:00Dear Jordan,

One r...Dear Jordan,

Thanks for a suggestive post.

One rarely hears Zen teachers, ancient or contemporary, speaking of bliss. However, they do speak of such wholesome states as gratitude, compassion, and respect, which we can cultivate through chanting, bowing, and zazen itself.

Gassho,

Ben Howard

www.practiceofzen.wordpress.comBen Howardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01314439931841480379noreply@blogger.com
